Hello! As the title says, Sunway Lagoon is a 5 in 1 Theme Park where it’s broken down to:

1) Water Park

2) Amusement Park

3) Wildlife Park

4) Extreme Park

5) Scream Park

So it’s a mixture of dry & wet, but whichever you chose, you’ll have fun with your family or friends for sure! I love the Extreme Park especially followed by water, amusement, etc. Of course, you can’t compare this to the ones in US or other big countries. But in Malaysia, this is 1 of the best so far other than Genting Highlands, where I love the Spaceshot so much.

We took a cab to Sunway Lagoon on 10th February 2013, 2nd day of Chinese New Year. The journey takes about 1/2 hour drive from our hotel. Please try to get a metered taxi. Otherwise agree on a price with the driver before you get in because they tend to start at a high price.

The weather was super wonderful that day. Blue skies and clear clouds passing by. Super beautiful day! Here’s our view upon alighting.

More sculptures on the way to Sunway Lagoon. Everything looks very clean. On the opposite side of the road, you can find food stalls, shops, etc.

When converted, Sgd$30 ~ Rm73.20 (based on 2.44 that week in 2013). Rm120 – Rm73.20 = Rm46.80. Which simply means I save alot! Enough to buy souvenirs or more food! Save up, while you can! That’s my motto. =)

Seriously, I find that Malaysians are truly lucky to have a separate pricing. Which other parts of the world does that for their citizens? Maybe there is, but I’m pretty sure not many. Especially being a Singaporean, I will always have to pay the same price as a foreigner. Pffft.Plus on that day, I saw this promotion. Isn’t it cool? If I were a Malaysian, I’d utilise it!

Sunway Lagoon Promo for Malaysian

As of today, I’m not sure if JA Travel still provides the same pricing. So please check first. There was a moment of checking to ensure the ticket was good from a recognised agent and that we won’t have any problems redeeming it at the counter. Ensure that you check the blocked dates. I’m truly contented that the tickets are acceptable during the PH.

Now let’s get on to Sunway Lagoon Theme Park! We reached here at about 10am. My first & foremost advise, please come early, as soon as the park opens to enjoy lesser crowd! Once the clock strikes 12 noon, or even before, the crowds increases. Glad we did! And another advise, go for the free rides first! Why? Because you simply don’t have to queue and the best part, you can go on again and again until you are satisfied. This way you’ll get to enjoy the park more than once since the queue is lesser. Once it gets crowded, then go for the paid rides like Bungy & G-Force, etc!

We rent a locker RM15 shared by the 4 of us to fit in bags and slippers. Pretty expensive but it’s secured. So no comments. Please note that you have to pay for the tubes as well. Prices can be found here.

Explore Extreme Park and Water Park first before heading to amusement park, scream park and lastly wildlife. Amusement park really has got alot of amazing rides! You gotta ride to get your adrenaline rush going! You can leave wildlife as the last activity since no queue is needed at all. Just walk around and be intrigued by the species they have it there! It might not be the best to some of you but it’s certainly the best in Malaysia.

Look at how empty the place is! That’s because we are the early birds! But we’ve made the wrong move by getting on the paid rides first. Truly unforgivable! Cause by the time we are done with G-Force and Bungy, we find ourselves needing to queue for the rest of the rides while the paid ones are actually empty! That’s the reason for the advise given so that you won’t make the same mistakes. But nevertheless, we had a great time!

Honestly, I’m afraid of heights BUT I love doing all those height involved activities. So I did something this time. I rode on the G-ForceX! Yes, I did it! And there’s a video too. The good thing is that, there is actually a GoPro attached to the G-Force to capture your most beautiful and handsome faces while screaming your lungs out. It will then be transferred to a Cd, ready for you to purchase at RM20 if I’m not mistaken. Yes, I bought it for keep sake and to laugh at myself. The video can be found below.

We had lunch at Subway. There’s more food options here like Marrybrown, Burger King and many more little snacks shops or hut. You can find the list in the website. We end our day going to Wildlife Park.

Here’s my horrible face & scream while doing the G-ForceX with my ex boyfriend. Enjoy! *I swear I did open my eyes but it’s too small to be seen I guess.*

So what are you waiting for? Go on, plan for a short getaway for your kids and have a fun-filled family time here soon! Or call up your friends for a memorable trip! As of 13 October 2014,the new water ride, Vuvuzela, is all ready. *It was under construction when we were there!*

That’s all! Hope you love it!

Xoxo;

Lia
