After negotiating with the staff for a discounted price for our group of 9 adults and 1 child, we took up the package which includes the Emerald Pool (Crystal Lake), The Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), Elephant Ride and Hot Spring Waterfall.

Here is the Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), what you can see on the ground and before getting to the steps. According to the Chinese calendar, I was born in the year of the dragon. So each time I see a dragon, I’m quite fascinated by it.

As we walked in, we could see the starting point of where the steps are. 4 of us attempted to go but 1 backed down after the 2nd flight of steps and another after the 3rd flight of steps, leaving me & Ajib to continue our way up from there. As you ascend higher, the view gets more and more clearer with no blocking leaves or trees.

As we hadn’t plan to climb, none of us brought along any drinks. So we have to endure till we get to the top. Somehow I learn from those coming down saying that there’s a water cooler that’s very cold up there. It sounds like a great motivation and support though.

We stopped every now and then to catch our breath and enjoy the views.

We stopped a few seconds longer once we were at the last flight of steps, just looking back to view the scenery while making way for some visitors who are coming down.

Once my feet touched the last step, I saw the water cooler. Like a speed of lightning, I found myself drinking non-stop trying to quench my thirst.

I’ve already saw the view so after I’ve had enough water, I walk slowly to the parapet wall, stretched my arms with my eyes close, chins up and breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the breeze. Awesome. It was such a satisfying little hike. We walk around abit and finally get to the top. Shoes need to be taken off.

And more;

If you are in Krabi, I urge you to climb up to this viewpoint and experience that moment looking around Krabi Town, Airport, Islands and just feel the wind blowing against your hair and skin.

If a mother is able to climb up carrying her baby bare-footed, so can you. If a big size lady and a few older generations are able to make it up, so can you. It’s alright to go slow, just enjoy every step you take. No rush.
