Places to visit in Sabah if you love visiting to a Mosque, you may want to visit ‘Kota Kinabalu City Mosque’ which is also known as the ‘Floating Mosque’ in Sabah due to it being on water. This is the second main mosque in Kota Kinabalu after the ‘State Mosque’.

On some days where the water are still, you will be able to capture a great photo with a reflection of the Mosque. As I stood outside viewing, I felt a sense of peace and tranquility. I did not manage to enter as I was having my period so I could only watch it in awe from out here. I’ll leave it to you to come here some day and visit the Mosque to view the interiors.

Kindly note that you have to dress modestly for both men and women. For man, you are advised to wear a long pants. No shorts allowed and woman, you will need to cover your hair and body. Woman can borrow a scarf or ‘telekung’ which is placed near the entrance to cover up.

This was taken back in 5 November 2014 on my Day 9 in Sabah. Have you been here and how do you feel when you look at it? Share with me in the comments below!
