Day 14, Mon, 10 November 2014
Esse 1 week journey in Sabah has come to an end today. He arrived Sabah on Day 7, 3 November 2014 mainly for Climbing Mount Kinabalu. And because he has extra days, I invited him to join Padas Water Rafting Adventure, Exploring Kota Kinabalu, and PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) just yesterday. We stayed in the same hostel but different dorms. Mine is the all female dorm in the second block while his dorm is in the first block.
After conquering my fears yesterday during PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD), I felt even more confident to try new things.
But today, I just want to sit by the beach and eat grilled corn and bbq chicken wings while watching sunset. That’s one of the perks of staying right close to the beach. So in the afternoon, I took a walk to Tanjung Aru Plaza and Tanjung Aru Town to buy some stuff from the supermarket.
Then I head back to the hostel in time and get ready to head out to the beach. Rey and Awang are my companions for today. We didn’t take much photo as we were busy chatting and joking around. This is where you can get your drinks and snacks. If you are looking for a restaurant, then turn to the right from here and walk towards Shangri-La. You can have a better sunset view over at Sunset Bar but you would have to make reservations as it is almost always full.
Ending my day by the beach, feeling the cool chilly breeze on my skin as I savour a juicy salty corn and freshly barbequed chicken wings with my 2 funny friends is a great way to end my day. Wish I could be there now. Oh, how I’m missing Sabah right now.
